🌿 What Happens on the Other Side of Healing?

🎙️ My conversation on the Fit for Joy podcast

So much of healing work focuses on getting through: fewer flashbacks, less anxiety, better sleep, getting through the day. 🌙 That matters. But I've always believed healing can go further than "less bad." ✨

That's the question Valeria and I explored when I joined her on the Fit for Joy podcast: what happens on the other side of healing? 🤔 How do we build a life that feels meaningful, not just manageable?

🚒 We talked about the people I sit with most often: first responders, veterans, healthcare workers, and attorneys. Many of them have spent years in chronic survival mode. Over time, that takes a toll on the body, the nervous system, relationships, and even a person's sense of who they are. 💔 We also talked about moral injury, the deep pain that comes when what we've seen or done collides with what we believe is right, and how it can quietly reshape the way we see ourselves and the world. 🌍

🧠 And we talked honestly about psychedelic-assisted therapy. It can open new perspectives and help people see their story differently. But the medicine alone doesn't create change. Preparation, intention, safety, and integration are what turn an experience into lasting healing. 🌱 That's the heart of how I approach this work.

If you've been surviving for a long time and wondering whether there's more for you, there is. 💛 Joy isn't a luxury. It's part of healing too. ☀️
