Anxiety isn't just worry. It's the 3am racing thoughts, the avoidance that slowly shrinks your world, the physical tension that never fully releases, and the exhausting gap between who you are and who you want to be.
At Soul Yoga Counseling, anxiety is treated at its root — not just managed on the surface. Melissa uses a combination of evidence-based and holistic approaches tailored to your specific experience of anxiety.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is holistic anxiety therapy different from standard CBT?
Standard CBT focuses primarily on thoughts and behaviors. Holistic anxiety therapy at Soul Yoga Counseling also incorporates the body, nervous system, biology, and lifestyle — because anxiety is rarely just a thought problem. Melissa uses CBT as one tool within a much broader, individualized approach.
What if my anxiety is connected to past trauma?
This is extremely common. Melissa is trained in both anxiety treatment and trauma-focused approaches including EMDR and somatic therapy — so if your anxiety has roots in past experiences, those can be addressed directly rather than worked around.
Do you offer medication management?
Melissa is a licensed therapist, not a prescriber. She does not prescribe medications but works collaboratively with prescribing providers and can offer informed guidance on how therapy and medication can work together effectively.
Is anxiety therapy available via telehealth?
Yes. Anxiety therapy is available via telehealth for Colorado, Kansas, and Missouri residents. In-person sessions are available in Colorado.
